Dancop Takes 3DMark05 World Record plus Aquamark 1x GPU Global 1st Place

You don’t get to become the world’s No.1 ranked overclocker by simply resting on your laurels. As with any sport or competitive hobby, it takes a huge amount of dedication and hard work to maintain top dog status. And so it is at the top of the world rankings here on HWBOT where we find Germany’s Dancop at the top of the world rankings, a status that looks all the more secure thanks to a new World Record breaking submission in 3DMark05 and a Global First Place ranking for single a GPU run in Aquamark.

Dancop took the 3DMark05 World Record with a new high score of 85,175 marks – Let me reiterate, it’s officially the highest score ever submitted on HWBOT in this benchmark, beating the previous best held by TeamAU which was submitted just over a month ago. The score was achieved with a Pascal-based GTX 1080 card, in this case an ASUS GTX 1080 ROG Strix OC Edition card which Dancop pushed to a solid 2.1GHz, 30.68% beyond the card’s stock settings. The rig also featured a Skylake i7 6700K processor pushed to 6,750MHz (+68.77%) installed on an ASUS Maximus VII Impact motherboard (which apparently ended up fried in the process), plus a G.SKILL Trident Z DDR4 kit configured at 2,015MHz (CL12.0 11-11-28 1T).

The same rig was also used to hit a Global 1st Place, single GPU ranking score in Aquamark. A score of 631,075 marks was submitted with the same i7 6700K cranked up to 6,712.79MHz (+67.82%). These scores should help Dancop fend of pressure from Xtreme Addict at the top of the current world rankings on HWBOT, earning him 112 points for the for the 3DMark05 1x GPU ranking and 119.4 points for the Aquamark Global 1st Place.
