ItabellaOC Becomes First Ever Female No.1 Rookie Overclocker

There are times when I’m busy explaining to people what it is that I do and what overclocking actually is that I am asked the question - ‘Are there any girls involved in overclocking’? My polite reply is usually… not so many. Today however, we can put an end to that sorry old mantra and officially recognize the first ever female No1. Rookie overclocker. Please welcome itabellaOC.

What makes the story all the more remarkable is the fact that itabellaOC has been a member of HWBOT and OC-ESPORTS for just over month, signing up in late May of this year. As a member of the Indonesia’s blossoming overclocking scene, itabellaOC is currently ranked 21st in her country and a valued member of the Uns Oc Team, a team based at Sebelas Maret University located in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. Colloquially known as UNS, the University is one of many academic institutions in Indonesia that are spawning some the country’s top overclocking talent.

ItabellaOC’s recent exploits are brought into stark focus in the recent Rookie Rumble #32 contest where she managed to come 2nd overall, securing two runner-up slots in stages involving XTU and Geekbench 3 benchmarks. In the XTU stage she pushed a Core i7 6700K to 5,000MHz (+25%) to hit a score of 1,749 marks.

It’s great to see that Rookie overclocking now has its first female leader. Let’s hope that more girls and women are inspired, realizing that overclocking can be a fun for all, regardless of gender. Congrats and kudos to ItabellaOC!
