Dinos22 and TeamAU Go on 3D Rampage, Claim 5 World Records

Our old mate Dinos22 and his crew of Aussie wreckers have apparently been busy in the GIGABYTE OC Lab for the last day or two, putting together a quite amazing assault on several 3D records. So far the session has yielded five new World Records including 3DMark06, 3DMark05, 3DMark2001 SE, Aquamark and Unigine Heaven.

The 3DMark06 world record , was stolen from the grip of Dancop with a score of 66066 marks using a GTX 980 Ti card pushed to 1,650MHz (+53.35%) and a Core i7 6700K at 6.6GHz (+65.00%). The same rig and configuration also toppled the world record for 3DMark05 with a score of 84,337 marks. . A GTX 980 Ti was also used at stock to claim the world record in 3DMark2001 with a score of 204,135 marks. .

A pair of GTX 980 Ti cards clocked at stock with an i7 6700K pushed to 6,450MHz (+61.25%) were used by TeamAU to ramp up a world record score of 71,3385 marks in Aquamark, with Dinos22 getting in on the act with a very nice Unigine Heaven (Xtreme Preset) score of 10,164.63 DX11 Marks using a pair of GTX 1080 cards at stock plus also with a 6700K at 6.6GHz (+65.00%). All scores were made using a GIGABYTE Z170X-SOC Force LN2 motherboard.

If the sheer joy of overclocking is ever in doubt, or disputed you can now and forever refer to at this slo-motion video shot at the GIGABYTE lab as YoungPro and SniperOZ hit a world record breaking score in 3DMark06. The expression on their faces is truly priceless. Great video.

Catch up with all the action at the TeamAU page on HWBOT, and watch out. They probably haven’t quite finished yet.
