Throwback Thursday: Young Dinos22 LN2 Training Video

Throwback Thursday is when we take you on a trip down memory lane, one that we hope time served overclockers and also newer members will appreciate and enjoy. Today we bring you a video recorded way back in 2008 when a young and dashing Australian kid called Dino had a gig working for a company called Altech, making promotional videos among other things. The video in question is an LN2 training video, and a really good one at that.

Dino explains the basics of sub-zero overclocking starting from air cooling and stability checking, gradually lowering the temperature of the Intel E8500 CPU to around minus 188c, before while upping the performance in stages. The video was recorded just before Intel launched their Wolfdale platform.

Dinos22 today works for GIGABYTE in Australia and is also a key member of the AustraliaOC team - fourth biggest points contributor to the team and the fourth best overclocker in Australia currently. I can tell you from personal experience that he’s a really nice guy, and also a guy with plenty of thoughts about overclocking. Here’s a video that we made featuring an older Dino as part of the Overlocker in Focus series.

The video was discovered and posted on HWBOT on May 2nd 2012. Check it out, if only for the charming comments.
