Smoke Takes Down 3DMark05 x2 GPU Global 1st Place

It certainly seems like it has been a busy weekend for some of the scene’s Elite and extreme players as we bring you news that Russia’s Smoke has just pulled off a new Global 1st Place. Benching during the OC Summit meet up in Moscow which ran from Wednesday to Saturday of last week, Smoke pulled off a 3DMark05 run that scored 82,681 marks with using a pair of Nvidia GTX 980 Ti cards.

The cards in question were in ASUS GTX 980 Ti Matrix Platinum Editions and were clocked by the Russian No.1 and World No. 6 with both GPUs set to 1,188MHz (+10.41%) and memory gently pushed to 1,800MHz (+2.68%). His i7 6700K was clocked at 6,566MHz (+64.15%). Other key rig details include an ASUS Maximus VIII Extreme motherboard, Hyper X memory and a Cooler Master V-Series 1200 watt PSU.

The score of 82,681 marks pushes Dancop’s score of 81,333 marks to second place and earns Smoke 74.8 points for the 2x GPU 3DMark05 ranking and 4.6 points for the x2 980 Ti ranking. Time will tell if Dancop has an immediate retort up his sleeve – kind of like he did with Smoke’s 3DMark06 score that was a Global 1st Place for about three days.

Smoke’s recent submission activity happened at the ASUS OC Summit 2016 where he was joined by Russia’s slamms, 12, Atheros, IceAlex and special guest Xtreme Addict. You can check out the new Global 1st Place submission on HWBOT here, plus all the x2 GPU rankings for 3DMark05 here.
