If you happen to be an overclocker in the Taipei area for Computex 2016, then you sir are cordially invited to join HWBOT, ROG and Thermal Grizzly for an evening of social mixing and fun. The ‘Overclockers Gathering’ event is a strictly OC only affair where only those with the passion and love for the game will gain admittance. No media of industry reps will be allowed to disrupt the flow of good conversation, food and ale, all of which plenty will be freely laid on.
For many overclockers, Computex can kind of feel like a pilgrimage with the city becoming a Mecca of sorts for anyone with a passion for fresh, newly unveiled hardware and of course, overclocking. Already the Computex 2016 forum page suggests that there will be at least 30 or more HWBOT members on the scene in Taipei that week.
Computex 2016 will be a busy week for anyone vaguely attached or involved with the tech industry in Taiwan. And it’s not just because of the trade show itself, where this year the HWBOT World Tour will be in attendance, but also because of the sheer number of corporate mixers and parties that happen throughout the week. The ‘Overclockers Gathering’ however is one event where you will be certain to find overclockers hanging around eating, drinking… and probably (but by no means exclusively) talking about overclocking.
The event will be held at local bar On Tap on the eve of Computex 2016 (Mon May 30th) from 8pm til midnight. Admittance is free, so simply click the link to register on the Eventbrite page. Make sure to include your HWBOT nickname when you do.
