Russian legend Smoke yesterday made an outstanding submission on HWBOT that earned him a first place World Ranking for a single GPU in 3DMark03. Pushing a GTX 980 Ti to its absolute limits Smoke achieved a 3DMark03 score of 300,926 marks, beating the previous best 1x GPU score held by rsannino, by 800 marks.

The score was made using a Core i7 6700K pushed to 6,632MHz, technically +65.80% points beyond stock, plus a GTX 980 Ti Matrix Platinum Edition with the GPU cranked up to 2GHz (+85.87%) and memory pushed to 2GHz (+14.09%). Incredible work. The rest of the system specs include a Maximus VIII Extreme motherboard and 8GB of HyperX Predator DDR4 clocked at 1,866MHz (CL13- 18-18-28 1T).

This score earns Smoke 30 points for a fifth place 3DMark03 World Record ranking overall, plus 117.1 points for the 1x GPU ranking and 13.8 points for the GTX 980 Ti ranking.
