Overclockers UK have been specializing in bespoke, high-end systems for quite a while now, in recent years employing the expertise of UK No.1 8Pack to design and craft overclocked PCs come with a service contract and extended warranty. The latest creation from 8Pack and Overclockers UK is the Asteroid, a Mini-ITX based system that retails for the best part of £4,000 ($5,716).

The Asteroid is based around a custom water cooled Asus Maximus VIII Impact and a Core i7 6700K clocked at 4.7GHz. You’re also getting 8GB of Team Group DDR4 clocked at 3866MHz and an overclocked GeForce GTX 980Ti which is also fitted with EK full cover water blocks. Other specs include a SuperFlower Leadex Titanium 1000W, 500GB and 1TB Samsung 850 Evo SSDs, all housed in a custom Parvum Mini-ITX cube case. The rig is tuned by 8Pack himself with components specially binned and tested to ensure stability. The colors of the custom braided PSU and water cooling components can also be customized according to your taste.

It’s interesting to see that world renowned overclockers from the Elite league are now more than ever ambassadors for the high-performance PC market. The asking price for the Asteroid may seem a little steep, but in most respects they are not just selling a PC, they’re selling a high-performance rig that is hand tuned by one of the world’s most respected overclockers.
