Update! Core i3 Allowed in G.SKILL OC World Cup 2016 Qualifier

A couple of days ago we announced the glorious G.SKILL OC World Cup 2016 Qualifier, the third edition the traditional overclocking competition at Computex. Just like the previous two editions the rules require anyone who qualifies for the Live Event to arrange transportation and accommodation. The stakes are high, however, with USD $10,000 on the line!

By popular demand, the online qualifier now also allows Core i3 processors alongside the Core i5 and Core i7 counter-parts. The rest of the rules remain unchanged, meaning you are still required to use G.SKILL memory and comply with competition system picture and validation regulations such as including a picture of G.SKILL memory with heatsink and serial numbe (or PCB and IC if the heatsink is removed).

Digg_de is currently leading the qualifier with a 3DMark01 score of 37330 marks (HD Graphics 530 @ 1400/1933 MHz) and a 3DMark11 Performance score of 2452 marks (HD Graphics 530 @ 1350/1933 MHz).

We wish everyone the best of luck and hope to see some of you at this year's edition of the G.SKILL OC World Cup at Computex! More information about the competition can be found on the OC-ESPORTS competition page.
