The epic GIGABYTE Z170 Winter OC Challenge overclocking contest on OC-ESPORTS came a thumping conclusion just a few days ago with winners in each of the four rounds claiming both kudos and prizes. Let’s take a look at the players and the scoring.
Running from January 31st until February 28th, the contest featured four rounds that offered plenty of OC action for overclockers of all abilities and means. Rounds One and Two were open to Enthusiast, Rookie and Novice overclockers. Round One was limited to only dual-core CPUs while Round Two was restricted to quad-core CPUs - both rounds were limited to ambient cooling only with strict clock speed limitations for each stage (see below). Rounds Three and Four followed a similar pattern with Extreme and Elite overclockers and the opportunity to use extreme cooling
Each 1st place winner in a round will each receive a Z170X-SOC Force Motherboard. Users that submitted scores to all stages of a round will be eligible to enter the lucky draw for one GIGABYTE Z170X-Gaming G1 motherboard.
