The Country Cup has been described by many as the ‘World Cup’ of Overclocking. To those who take part however, it is nothing short of an epic overclocking journey where overlocking teams have to plan and scheme days, if not weeks ahead of time if they want to have any chance of winning the cup. The Country Cup 2015 was arguably one of the best in recent years with a total of 37 countries getting involved with five stages that were designed to really push limits of your OC talent.

In the wake of last year’s Cup we have an excellent article from one of Australia’s quickly rising stars. Garon Middleton, known to many as JunkDogg on HWBOT, was in the trenches with the Austraila team during the Cup, a fact that makes his write up of the contest all the more interesting. Here's a sample of Garon's article:

“Stage 1 – 3DMark06. This was a rather ingenious idea. Limiting Competitors to only NVIDIA graphics cards, only one submission per person and to only 1 card per GPU family. What a way to start, this had competitors pulling graphics cards out of storage, bins and even Grand Parents PC’s(well, maybe not). The results were then scored together on the amount of HW(hardware) points awarded to them instead of using the actual benchmark points. This threw even more spanners into the works, with teams frantically finding the GPU from each family worth the most amount of points.”
