Just like every month we have a look at the SuperPI 32M low-clock challenge threads in our forum and make a list of the most efficient overclocks for various CPU architectures. For a couple of days Skylake took over as the fastest SuperPI 32M platform as Splave from the United States beat Bullant's previous top Haswell result by a couple of milliseconds. Splave's Skylake best is 5 minutes and 53.813 seconds at 5 GHz. Bullant, however, uploaded a new Haswell based submission putting the 5G bar a little higher (or lower, depending on how you look at it. The fastest SuperPI 32M at 5GHz is now 5 minutes and 53.687 seconds.

On the AMD side of things, we're eager to see what the Carrizo-based platforms are capable of. In a thread by Flanker we find a run of 12 minutes and 39.659 seconds at the Athlon X4 845 frequency of 3.8GHz, a mere 22 seconds behind the Current AMD 5GHz best by Zeropluszero. Considering Flanker is on Windows 7, applied few tweaks and has plenty of room for overclocking, it appears that the Athlon X4 845 might be very interesting for AMD overclockers and Super PI fans alike! Update! Flank3r submitted the first Carrizo result. At 4 GHz, the Athlon X4 845 is 5 seconds faster than Kaveri at 5 GHz!
