GIGABYTE Target OC: Open Target Winners Announced

The GIGABYTE Target OC Open Target contest just came to climactic conclusion on OC-ESPORTS with the winners in line to receive great prizes that include some high-end GIGABYTE Z170X motherboards and raw cash. Unlike standard OC contests that encourage players to simply reach the highest score, clock or benchmark run possible, the Open Target contest takes a more cunning approach, revealing specific target scores in XTU and Geekbench3 over a period of six weeks. Let’s take a look at the scoring, the winners and those prizes in a more detail.

The GIGABYTE Target OC: Open Target contest is set up to engage a broad spectrum of the OC community to participate, including seasoned extreme players who have LN2 at their disposal, and Rookie overclockers that are adept at tweaking and tuning on air. In terms of platform too, the contest strives to be as open as possible, allowing any chipset as long as resides on a GIGABYTE motherboard.

The winners of each of the three Ambient subcategories will be rewarded with a GIGABYTE Z170X-Gaming 3 motherboard with the winners of each of the three Extreme subcategories walking away with a GIGABYTE Z170X-SOC FORCE motherboard. Finally a prize draw prize of USD $500 and a GIGABYTE Z170X-Gaming G1 was also available.
