Competition Report: Australia Retains HWBOT Country Cup in 2015, Again

The HWBOT Country Cup has concluded at OC-ESPORTS and for the third consecutive year, the nation of Australia has has risen to the occasion to deliver a resounding win. Unlike last year when the Aussies took first place in all five contest stages, in 2015 they galloped past the finish line winning all but one stage with Bulgaria stealing a win in a dramatic Stage 5. Let’s have a look at the scoring, the teams and the prizes that were on offer in a little more detail.

Hosted at OC-ESPORTS the Country Cup ran from November 1st to December 20th. The easiest way to understand the concept of the competition is that it’s basically the ‘World Cup’ of Overclocking. With five stages that require submissions from up to ten overclockers, the contest invites teams from around the globe to bench on a broad range of hardware platforms. As with previous years, the contest has again provided the perfect arena to really push the boundaries of what is possible, with a handful of World Records being broken along the way.

Finally, a huge congrats to Australia who have again proven themselves to be the best overclocking country on Earth. We leave you with a snap of some of the team members who clearly made huge strives to claim top spot. See you again next year!
