For those who are unfamiliar with the Phoronix Test Suite, it is an open benchmarking platform that provides an extensible framework for easy batch-testing. The test suite includes over 100 test suites featuring more than 450 test profiles for hardware spanning from processor to disk and all kinds of other hardware.
Two days ago, Phoronix Test Suite 6.0 was released. According to Phoronix it is by far the most significant release for the open-source cross-platform benchmarking software since the first test suite launched seven years ago. The most significant changes include a new user interface for the Phoromatic server, a brand-new result viewer, auto-authentication improvements, several low-level performance enhancements, reworked sensor monitoring, and so much more.
