HyperX OC Takeover Season III Qualifying Concludes: Hazzan Wins!

HyperX are at it again, dropping blood into the OC waters with the third installment of the HyperX OC Takeover, a live OC contest where the globe’s top overclockers compete for a prize pool of $15,000 US dollars. Online qualifying for the contest has just concluded with ten of the world’s most accomplished overclockers set to enjoy an all-expenses-paid trip to the HyperX headquarters in sunny California next month.

Online qualifying for the HOT Season III finals began on October 19, reaching a climax on November 8th after three week-long stages based on Max Memory Clock, XTU (at 5GHz) and 3DMark11 Physics. Eight of the ten available slots in California are made up of representatives from each region of the globe; South America, Asia, Europe and North America. An additional a spot will be awarded to a wild card drawn from the top 20 submissions with the tenth spot filled by 2014’s HyperX HOT champion.

Here are the HOT Season III Final entrants that will be flown out to HyperX HQ in Fountain Valley, CA next month: Splave and Fugger (North America), Hazzan and Lucky_n00b (Asia), Rsannino and Drweez (EMEA), Nacho_arroyo and Joe90br (Latin America). The eight overclockers above will be joined by the previous season’s winner, Xtreme Addict. Make sure you tune into The OC Show next Sunday where the Wild Card entrant will be decided via a live draw.
