Strat (France) Breaks 3DMark05 World Record: 79960 marks!

The overclocking world is exceptionally rich of World Records and Global First Places lately. Yesterday we covered 8 Pack's big benchmark bonanza and not even twenty-four hours lately Strat strikes as well: 3DMark05 World Record!

Earlier in the day Strat also too the first place in XTU 4xCPU, but Splave played his trap card and pulled out a backup. So Strat's 2097 marks was gold for only a short period of time.

His name will definitely go in the record books for breaking the 3DMark05 World Record. With a score of 79960 marks - yes, only 40pts short - he has a healthy lead of 1000 marks over the League number one, Dancop. Strat uses a retail Core i7 6700K at 6400 MHz combined with Kingston ES memory with AFR memory ICs. The mainboard used is the Maximus VIII Extreme and, surprisingly, is using 2 GeForce GTX 980 (non-ti) Matrix graphics cards at moderate overclock.

You can find more information of the score on the submission page. Also check out the 3DMark05 Hall of Fame if you want to see a French flag on top! For historians, there's always the World Record History too.
