MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Lightning Announced and Detailed: 1303 MHz Boost Clock

Videocardz.com has revealed the first product pictures of the latest member of the MSI Lightning family. The MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Lightning graphics card will go in direct competition with the ASUS Strix, EVGA K|ngp|n Edition, and GALAXY Hall of Fame graphics cards for the title of the fastest single GPU solution on the market. Currently the K|ngp|n Edition graphics card is leading the race, at least based on the Fire Strike Extreme 1xGPU leaderboard.

The MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Lightning comes packed with features including a triple-fan & triple-slot Tri-Frozr cooler, 3 PCIe power connectors, V-Check points, Dual BIOS, 12+3 phase VRM and a 10-layer PCB. The card is clocked at 1202 MHz GPU by default and goes up to 1303 MHz with GPU boost. That's 100 MHz lower than the KP Edition, and 10 MHz lower than the ASUS Strix alternative.

We look forward to seeing extreme overclockers competing with the Lightning card! For more information and pictures, check out videocardz.com
