Oh no!

In a press statement issued today, Futuremark announces the end of support for its Peacekeeper browser benchmark. Peacekeep is designed to test the JavaScript performance of any browser and was launched in 2009. In the press release, Futuremark indicates that the benchmark has become obsolete now that browser compete on feature sets rather than pure browsing speed.

Futuremark recommends PCMark8 (soon PCMark10) and PCMark for Android for any browser or internet connectivity benchmarking. For all intends and purposes, you can still strangle your browser with the Peacekeeper benchmark at http://peacekeeper.futuremark.com/.
