From March 24 until April 27 this annum, overclockers from around the world could compete for a spot in live qualifier in the G.SKILL OC World Cup. The World Cup will be held during Computex 2014 in Taipei, Taiwan and features a massive head prize of USD $10,000 for the Champion. In case you didn’t know – that’s the highest prize ever for an individual overclocker in a live overclocking competition.
The overclockers had to compete in the following stages: Memory Clock, 3DMark Fire Strike and SuperPI 32M.
As qualification only gives the overclockers a spot at the live competition and not accommodation and travel, the participation list was limited to those who either had already decided to go to Computex or really believes in his chances for the big prize. In the end, the line-up for the competition looks very strong. Here’s the winner list:
|8 Pack||53 pts|
|Xtreme Addict||47 pts|
G.SKILL and the participants are now deciding on the final competition schedule. The final details of the live qualifier should be soon. Stay tuned and good luck everyone!
