KPC Gear Added To HWBOT Country Cup 2013 Prize Jar

For those who follow our Facebook page, this news article will come as no surprise. The last set of prizes for the Country Cup - custom cooling gear from Kingpincooling - have been added to the list. Thanks to our main sponsor G.Skill, the top-3 countries of this year's Country Cup will be receiving a very nice set of hardware prizes. The prize table is a bit too large to include in the news post (awesome!), so we will have to refer you to the HWBOT Country Cup 2013 competition page. In total, there are 24 prize items.

To clarify the assigning the prizes to the winning countries. Just like every year, the prizes are distributed according to the contribution to the country score. The person who contributes the most, gets to pick a prize first. Contribution is counted as a score counting for the country average in a specific stage. For example, if your score is part of the country average in Stage 2, your contribution goes up by one. The highest contribution you can achieve is 8, as there are eight stages. In case two people have the same contribution, we go by stage (1 -> 8). In case the contribution is still be the same, we will just do a lucky draw. The top contributor of the winning country can pick 3 prizes, the second top contributor, and so on. Below are more details:

  • Winning country: 3 - 2 - 2 - 1 - 1
  • Runner-up: 3 - 2 - 1 - 1
  • Second runner-up: 2 - 2 - 1

Of course, nothing stops the winners from forwarding prizes to fellow countrymen. In fact, usually the prizes are shipped to one location and then distributed further by the community. The Country Cup's main goal is to spread the joy of overclocking within the community, and nothing brings more joy than sharing!

Oh, one more thing. Kingpin mentioned that European overclockers will be able to acquire the KPC gear through Caseking very soon.
