L0ud_sil3nc3 (USA) Wins Cinebench R15 Launch Challenge, FlashG (AU) Second, True Monkey (DE) Third

With the release of the newest version of Cinebench, last month we hosted the Cinebench R15 Launch Challenge. The competition had a fairly simple set-up. Across five stages overclockers could submit their best result, and in the end the person with the most points wins the challenge. The categories were divided based on CPU core count, starting with 2xCPU, going up to 8x CPU in steps of two cores. For the fifth stage you could use any setup you want. So that was something for the die-hard server enthusiasts. In the end, L0ud_sil3nc3 from the USA won the 2xCPU category, finished second in the 4xCPU and 8xCPU stage, scored a single point in the 6xCPU and unlimited rounds. Enough to secure the victory.

Rank
Overclocker Total Points
#1
United States L0ud_sil3nc3 63 pts
#2
Australia FlashG 53 pts
#3
Germany True Monkey 48 pts
#4
Italy Delly 38 pts
#5
United States Steponz 37 pts

Of course, it was also a record fest. Not only because of the quality of the overclockers, but in the first place because we just added the benchmark to our database. The top score in each stage is currently also the world record for that particular global category. Congratulations to L0ud_sil3nc3 (406 cb 2xCPU), John_White (1162 cb 4xCPU), Steponz (1602 cb 6xCPU), FlashG (1365 cb 8xCPU), and Clmns (4714 cb WR).

Congratulations to everyone involved! I hope you all had fun with this new benchmark. Here are a couple of system pictures for entertainment purposes only. 'Till the next one!
