HyperX OC Takeover (HOT) Contest in Final Week - Who Makes It To Vegas Final?!

Only seven days until we know who will compete for the title of HyperX OC Takeover Champion live at CES in Las Vegas, early January next year. There are five seats available in the final. At the moment of writing, the finalists would be 8Pack (UK), Steponz (USA), Littleboy and OC_Windforce (South Korea), and r0yal_flush (ID). But of course this is an overclocking competition, so there are probably plenty of people holding on to their precious bags of sand. On the forums, we see plenty of people posting their large collection of Kingston memory (bought for this competition!). We expect to see a lot of big results in the last stretch of the contest.

This is not to say, that the current leading results are not impressive. Oh, on the contrary. In the Memory Clock stage, two people already managed to surpass the DDR3-4000 mark. 8Pack's XTU and SuperPI 32M scores are good for top ranks in the global tables each, with the XTU score being the current number two!

  • Splave.ROM's Memory Clock - 2108.6 MHz with DDR3 SDRAM
  • 8 Pack's SuperPi 32M score - 4min 44sec 94ms with Intel Core i7 4770K at 6534 MHz
  • 8 Pack's XTU score - 1507 marks with Intel Core i7 4770K at 6125MHz

We look forward too seeing how this competition turns out. Stay Tuned, Stay Hyper!
