Gunslinger Breaks WR Pushing 3DMark 11 Performance Top Score Close To 40,000 Mark

At IDF'13 in San Francisco, Intel together with ASUS and Corsair organised another OC Main event. The format changed from an invite-only competition-style event to more of an overclocking exhibition. The goal of the exhibition was to set as many benchmark world records as possible. Several media have already covered the records broken, and we are highlighting the #1 with the highest HWBoints.

Gunslinger, Pro OC overclocker from the USA, is the new record holder for 3DMark11 Performance. He took the record using the new Core i7 4960X clocked at slightly over 5.8 GHz, and of course four GeForce GTX Titan graphics cards at about 1480/1770 MHz. The previous record was held by the now retired Taiwanese overclocker AndreYang. He scored about 2,400 points lower five months ago.

Congratulations to everyone involved in setting the record. We look forward to the rest of the scores! More information:

It was pretty hectic once the doors opened to the public. Overall the event was pretty cool, you never quite know how a rig like this will run, so it was great to be able to get it up to speed with a live audience.

That first pic looks like the proper way to protect tweaks :D Congrats! That's an epic score. Doing it live is even more awesome.

United States Gunslinger says:

We should have broken 40K pretty easily, but there is an unknown bug that is capping GT2 to ~326 FPS no matter the card clocks.
