USA Highest Amount of Extreme Overclockers, Germany Most Active

One of the perks of being a premium partner is having access to general statistics and usage information at HWBOT. Last week we prepared a data report for our partners, and one of the topics was the demographics of extreme overclocking. In the two charts below, you can see which country has the highest amount of extreme overclockers and which is the most active. Although the USA still has the highest amount of extreme overclockers, Germany has the most active community. Also interesting is seeing the relative amount of extreme overclockers from China growing in size. Last but not least an honorable mention for Belgium, which is a top-10 country for extreme overclocking in terms of result quantity.

I am always interested in these kind of statistics. As you mentioned Iran is in top 5 countries, but we never saw any z77 UP7 or OC formula or dominator GTX and adata XPG+ in the past and ... . Even till now there is not any Z87 ROG or any other good mainboards in our country. No evbot, No epower, No gelid extreme ... .As an engineer, I should pay my 2 months incoming for a GTX 780 without any sponser, But we still keep on doing this madness.

NoMS says:

Pretty interesting statistics!
Just for the sake of curiosity, who are the top-5 more active XOCers of these countries? Of course i'm talking about the countries which appears on this "activity" graph. :)

Poorya_lion, That's what HWBot is about in the first place - fun, not money ;)

Australia Dinos22 says:

nice :)

United Kingdom borandi says:

In order to get more statistics, become a premium sponsor ;) How are you defining extreme overclockers? By submission of any subzero scores in the last X months, or by league only?

Belgium Massman says:

LN2 subs (cpu-gpu-mem) this year. So not including cascade, or single-stage phase.

United States Splave says:

USA highest amount of Ocers.......Least amount of sponsored events :/

United Kingdom borandi says:

If you organise events, then it gives the opportunity for sponsors to come. Don't wait for sponsors to come to you. Also don't forget, everyone in the US seems to live 8hrs away from anyone else, so if a sponsor does an event at least one coast or border will complain. We don't get any events in the UK, but when we organise ourselves and get a dozen together to do something, more often than not one or two sponsors will jump in.
