Simple INF Modification Enables 4-Way SLI on GeForce GTX 780 - Titan Records In Sight?
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Brazilian-Japanese performance tweaker Faster shows how to work around the 4-Way SLI limitation for the GeForce GTX 780 imposed by Nvidia. The video is in Portuguese so unless you're fluent in that language, you will have to rely on the video instructions to get 4-Way running. From the looks of it, the newer drivers featuring support for the GeForce GTX 780 cards also include a couple of lines preventing it from running 4-Way SLI. The older drivers have no such limitation, but also don't officially support the GTX 780. By simply using a modified nv_disp.inf, you can add the support and enjoy 4-Way SLI. The process is actually quite simple:
- 1) Download the GeForce 320.00 BETA driver from Nvidia
- 2) Extract the driver content using WinRAR
- 3) Replace the original nv_disp.inf with a modified one, which you can download here (click)
- 4) Go back in the extracted driver folder and start the installation setup
- 5) Enjoy your GTX 780 4-Way SLI!

But this means that you can only use older drivers, without the fixes nvidia put on newer ones, or can you also bypass the restrictions on newer drivers as well?

skyn3t he never said he edited it. He was the first one to run 4-way sli on GTX 780, period. I checked your thread, you didn't. He did it. You never said the files would make the VGA run in 4-way, in the EVGA forum you even showed to be surprised.
About you saying that he scam ppl... you just don't take sides on something you don't know. That guy bought a vga from him and it didn't work, so instead of contacting him back, he started a thread on a forum before. He also disassembled the VGA heatsink, invalidating the warranty.

So please don't try to defend someone who you don't know or who you think you know without proof. Because I have proof when I made those files. Which the files still at my thread to who want to download it free of charges and like all my vbios unlocked on almost each GTX 780 brand.

A lot of drama for something that is actually quite simple. - Skyn3t edits an INF to support GTX780 - Faster runs uses it to run 4-Way SLI In the end, this is a very simple story of taking and giving credit on the internet. Faster could've obviously given credit to the person who originally modified the .INF file, which appears to be Skyn3t. On the other hand, discovering this enables 4-Way SLI is something Faster can take credit for as Skyn3t did not suggest this feature to become unlocked. Personally, I do not care for all this drama. And even less for all the stupid (yes, stupid!) provoking replies. So yeah, kudos to Skyn3t for the edit, kudos to Faster for finding out it enables 4Way SLI.
