MikeCDM (XOC) Takes Overall #1 PCMark05 Live At OCN N20C

MikeCMD, based in the USA and member of the top overclocking team Pure, has managed to secure the top spot in the PCMark05 benchmark this weekend. He accomplished this feat at OCN N2OC, a live overclocking event organised by Overclock.net in Farmington, Missouri. Powered by a Core i7 3770K, the ASRock Z77 OC Formula and only two Samsung 840pro SSDs combined with an Acard ramdisk, he outscored Mat from Austria by about one thousand six hundred (1,600) points. The new overall top score for PCMark05 is 65,255 points.

The OCN N2OC overclocking gathering is, just like the AwardFabrik & Friends gathering, an event set up by the community. Moparman's (a member of Overclock.net) computer shop, B&C Computers, in Farmington, a serious line-up of overclockers benched from Friday the 12th at around 7:00 PM CST all the way through Sunday the 14th. With a liquid nitrogen supply of 1,260L there was plenty of juice to make the systems run as fast as possible. As the without any doubt tired but satisfied spirits of the overclockers get back to daily business, we are waiting for the first pictures to be posted in the forums.

As for MikeCDM's record, it is nice to see an extreme enthusiast take a number one spot. PCMark05 is not an easy benchmark to master and the work and dedication that goes into a run cannot (but definitely will be) underestimated. Well done!
