Knopflerbruce sets new top score for Cinebench R11.5 - 43.09 with four (!) Opteron 6275 CPUs

Even though the Cinebench R11.5 benchmark ranking is quite new here at HWBOT - it was added by community members when we opened up our database ranking engine for all users (more info here) - it is quite interesting to follow. Perhaps not for the die-hard single socket desktop users as the top systems are not cooled with liquid nitrogen or overclocked very high in terms of frequency, but definitely for the multi-socket server fanatics. Yesterday Norwegian overclocker Knopflerbruce uploaded a new top score for the Cinebench R11.5 benchmark setting the new top result to 43.09 points. We don't know if this is an overall record (please inform us if not) but it is the highest we've seen here at HWBOT.

The system used was quite an impressive set-up: four Opteron 6275 CPUs were used in combination with Supermicro H8QG6 motherboard. The four CPUs were clocked to an interesting 4.3GHz and cooled with water cooling. As far as we could tell from information on other forum boards, the biggest problem with this kind of setup is the power supply (high current draw) and cooling down the PWM around the CPUs. Different challenges than a regular desktop system, but therefore not less interesting. Nice job!
