Twenty days into Cooler Master sponsored Team Cup, Overclock.net and Classicplatforms head to head for #1

We're about twenty days in the HWBOT Team Cup 2013 and the Cup seems to be heading in a similar direction as last year: exciting and nerve-wracking until the end. At the moment of writing, the Canadian-based Overclock.net is leading the overall ranking with 851pts, having the US-based Classicplatforms.com trail by only a single point. The German AwardFabrik team is a close third and although fifty-one points behind the leader, still has a significant chance on winning the Cup this year.

In the top-10 we find most of the regular top overclocking teams such as Overclockers.com, but also a couple of surprising up-and-comers like the Indonesian K-Suicide Mission and the Czech HardOCzech. Just outside the top-10, we also find Tributar Forums tagging along with the pack. Nice to see a couple of new teams at the top of the ranking.

The HWBOT Team Cup 2013 ends on April 30 and features four stages:

We would also once again thank the competition sponsor Cooler Master for providing the competition prizes. Once the prize list is complete, we will update you in another news post. These are the currently confirmed prizes:

We like the team events. :)
Especially if you're a hardware whore.

Russian Federation Antinomy says:

Very nice, my friends from CP :) I'm sure you have more to show us.

United States Mr.Scott says:

It's very early. There are many good teams and clockers yet to be seen. Just finishing in the top 10 is good for our small team. Top 5 would be nice. :)
Dare to dream.

Bulgaria I.nfraR.ed says:

I don't have the required hardware to fight with big teams in all stages, but will do my best with AMD 1M at least. I will need around 3080MHz to beat the old Thoroughbred record and that frequency is not out of reach :). For others..we'll see.

Belgium Massman says:

The biggest problem with the old AXP is that it's difficult to get high FSB with high MHz. Should be fine up until 3.3GHz, though, I think.

United States xxbassplayerxx says:

As much as I hate sandbagging, it's a necessary part of this competition. It's all going to jump around at the last minute, as usual...
