HWBOT looking for local representatives

To keep it short, HWBOT is looking for overclockers that are interested in representing HWBOT in their local country/community in order to have a smoother communication regarding HWBOT-related policies, issues or news. As not everyone speaks perfect English, it's sometimes difficult to correctly communicate when there's an question or if a problem needs to be resolved.

The HWBOT representative would be the official point-of-contact for a specific region/language. The representative is not assigned any moderating task, but would just serve as a middle (wo)man between HWBOT staff and the community.

If interested, shoot a private message! :-)

Much appreciated!

Great to see so many enthusiast responses! I'm going over the PMs at the moment replying to them one by one. It's taking a while to do it, though, so please hold on :).

emm........we do have paint artists :p

Germany Hyperhorn says:

On a serious note how should the communication work in the field? For example do the representatives get a Hwbot e-mail adress and do they have to reply to incoming questions or are they expected to search pro-actively the local forums for Hwbot-related topics with questions or do they recieve instructions from the Hwbot administration to post this and that in the local forums and so on ... ?

According to the Hwbot database there are over 1,600 German teams. If only 5 % of these teams have an online forum, that's a total of 80 forums! So I'm curious what the Hwbot administration thinks are the tasks of the representatives that have to be fulfilled.

Browsing the forums pro-actively not a requirement.

Communication is a good question. We can make emails for the representatives, if that would be useful.

What would you suggest?

India sumonpathak says:

a mail id would be useful..so that we can tell em just mail here if you have problems.

Welcoming new representatives:
Saint19: Colombia Eng.ahmedhelal: Egypt
Also updated the contact page so you can find the local representative for your country: http://hwbot.org/article/contact

Germany teurorist says:

Hyperhorn does Germany really need this ? ^^ we all have e good enough English to mock massman

Germany der8auer says:

teuro, the point of the local representative is that there are also people who can't spreak/write/read the english language and therefore need somebody for the communication ;) Of course this is not the only purpose.

Australia Jimba says:

Also wouldnt a local rep be handy to help people understand hwbot better? eg: someone who wants to bench but doesnt understand how the point system works or how to submit or why user X doesnt have to put a photo when they do? simple stuff like that. Could the rep do that job as well? that way massman etc doesnt get a influx of PM's from all the newbies of that country? good idea?

India sumonpathak says:

^^i guess thats our job :P

don't take my phrase to serous it was about mocking massman which should be the primary thing from everybody here. In my opinion we have a few very good places where new persons get introduced to extreme oc and there are also persons with good understanding about hwbot we are fare a head to some upcoming ocing countries.
maybe we are to long in this businesses because i miss some enthusiasm, anyway just try to say that there are good teams which bring persons closer to hwbot if they want
