European championship for overclockers
ASUS Open Overclocking Cup was established by ASUS in 2012, the last year’s Cup offering a new formal of overclocking competition for enthusiasts from Russia and CIS. After qualifications the best teams of Russia and Ukraine faced recognized European masters of overclocking at Ukraine’s major cybersports club Kiev CyberSport Arena to challenge each other for the prize fund and the title.

Having received huge feedback from the overclocking community all around the world, ASUS extends the competition format for 2013. ASUS Open Overclocking Cup is now open for enthusiasts from Europe and CIS, effectively becoming the largest European overclocking championship.
ASUS Open Overclocking Cup 2013 Qualifications
ASUS Open Overclocking Cup 2013 consists of two events: online qualifications and offline finals. The 2013 qualifications start on April 12 at 6:00 AM GMT +0. For one month overclockers from Europe and CIS will be competing for the right to perform in the finals in three disciplines: Super Pi 32M, 3DMark11 Performance and 3DMark Fire Strike. Applications can be submitted until 8:00 PM GMT +0, May 12, 2013.

ASUS Open Overclocking Cup 2013: Live Finals in Moscow
The ASUS Open Overclocking Cup 2013 finals will be hosted in Moscow with 13 top overclocker teams from Europe and CIS competing live. The winners of the 2012 Cup, Perica_barii (Montenegro) and Xtreme Addict (Poland), are invited directly to the finals while the other 12 teams will be selected through the qualifications.
Overclocker teams from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan have wildcards. If none of these countries is present in the qualifications’ Top 9, the three best teams from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan (one from each country) will be added to the nine best European teams to make up the finals’ 12. If a team from the wildcard countries is among the Top 9, the wildcard is cancelled for that country while the other two countries retain their wildcards.
The ASUS Open Overclocking Cup 2013 finals will be part of the Igromir 2013 expo, the largest gaming expo in the CIS countries. The prize fund of ASUS Open Overclocking Cup 2013 is $5000. Every team in the finals will also be awarded top-end graphics cards and Intel Z87-based mainboards from ASUS.
