HWBOT Proud to Announce Official Partnership with ASRock

Attentive HWBOT visitors will probably already have noticed the ASRock logo on the top of the HWBOT website. Yes, as of August 15 2012, ASRock has joined the HWBOT family. ASRock Inc., established in 2002, is specialized in the field of motherboards. ASRock strives to build up its own brand. With the 3C design concept, “Creativity, Consideration, Cost-effectiveness”, the company explores the limit of motherboards manufacturing while paying attention on the eco issue at the same time, developing products with the consideration of eco-friendly concept. ASRock has been growing fast and become world third largest motherboard brand with headquarter in Taipei, Taiwan and branches in Europe and the USA. The young and vibrant company targets from mainstream to enthusiast MB segments for different kinds of users, owning reputation around the world market with its reliability and proficiency.

We would like to express our gratitude to ASRock for the help in making HWBOT financially viable and enabling us to continue promoting overclocking and supporting its communities. With ASRock additional support, we have found extra motivation to make the site as pleasant as possible for the overclocking community. We’re all looking forward to the release of ASRock’s upcoming Z77 OC Formula overclocking mainboard as well as future overclocking projects!

Thank you ASRock and welcome to the family!

From what i know when ASUS and Pegatron went their separate ways Pegatron kept ASRock as its retail board seller. However ASUS owned 25% of Pegatron, which ASRock is just a small part of Pegatron. Pegatron however still made most ASUS boards, but now like with Z77 i think they are totally separate, as you see ASRock not use the parts they used too. Now from what I have read in the news lately, Pegatron took a large contract from apple, and i guess pissed of ASUS somehow, possibly increasing the production cost or something, because ASUS has started to sell its 25% share in Pegatron recently, as well as moved production to another ODM.
