Japanese overclocker closing in on sub-10 …

Pretty much everyone is aware of the fact that AMD isn’t that great in SuperPI, especially compared the Intel Core series. Whereas Intel technology managed to break the 10s SuperPI 1M barrier many years ago, an AMD-based system is only getting close. Well … very close actually.

Japanese overclocker Gyrock has been improving his overclocking results with the AMD Phenom II X4 955 C3 and narrowed the gap with the 10s barrier to a mere 93 milliseconds. Although this result cannot be found in the HWBot database, this impressive result can’t be left unmentioned.
