March 7, 2016 – HWBOT, an organization regulating international overclocking competitions and rankings today announces its participation at Gamers Assembly in Poitiers France. Inviting PC enthusiasts, gamers and overclockers to a weekend of overclocking fun, the European leg of the HWBOT World Tour promises to be the biggest of the year. In partnership with MSI, the HWBOT World Tour hosts a series of events at Gamers Assembly, one the biggest eSport and PC gaming events of the year. From March 25th to 28th visitors will be able to enjoy the MSI OC Academy Workshop, MSI MOA 2016 Europe competition plus a social environment where enthusiasts, gamers and overclockers can mix and socialize while learning more about Overclocking.

“We return to Poitiers hopeful of building on the success we enjoyed on the World Tour last year with the aim of making 2016 even bigger and more enjoyable,” commented Pieter-Jan Plaisier, Director at HWBOT. “Gamers Assembly is a fantastic opportunity to interface with Europe’s gaming community, exposing them to the fun and competitive nature of Overclocking.”

The HWBOT World Tour 2016

The HWBOT World Tour is a series of overclocking events held at various locations around the world throughout the year. The aim is to provide a relaxed social environment for overclockers to learn, share and compete. To help nurture the next generation of overclockers, the World Tour provides open overclocking workshops that offer an overclocking experience where first timers can learn simple tricks and tweaks that can improve their system’s performance.

No overclocking event would be complete without some real competitive OC action. Each World Tour event integrates overclocking contests for both amateur and extreme overclocking. Both Amateur and Extreme category overclocking contests include some great prizes for the winners, while the Extreme Series offers a chance to compete in the World Championship in Berlin at the end of the year.

There is no MOA without me :P

Christian Ney says:

See you there then

France Xyala says:

Details on the competition / hardware and structure will be published on Monday.

Meanwhile for those who want to join, I'd advise you to take care of ticketing and accommodation. GA expects above 15k visitors and 1700 players this year, so if you don't want to sleep on the floor ... that would be the first priority :p

Poland Xtreme Addict says:

Tim is right, good that my journey was planned earlier :) See you guys there!

Belgium leeghoofd says:

Crap we have to leave before the MOA final  too late announced sigh...

Poland Xtreme Addict says:

Well Albrecht you will leave, but I arranged my trip to stay to the end! ;)

Belgium leeghoofd says:

Well I think it's a bad idea to do it on Monday coz many already arranged stuff and now this... major fuckup

Germany der8auer says:

wow. Not sure if I should like it or hate it. Why announce it 2 weeks in front? I already booked my flight and will miss it. Kinda sucks hard

Belgium Massman says:

The schedule is really tight already - we have to line up with the Gamers Assembly opening hours too. Any schedule revision would be a pain so before we try it, can we have a head count of the amount of people that leave on Monday early?

France 2ShEp says:

Wow that's change compare to last year :D

Hurry to see you there, i come with "Camembert" for all xD

Belgium leeghoofd says:

What flavour of beer is Camenbert?

Colombia saint19 says:

So, not MOA World Wide? Only Europe?

France 2ShEp says:

feet flavor, the better !

Australia JunkDogg says:

Pretty sad to see MOA not available for the worldwide community without spending a fortune in travel just to try and qualify.

Be happy that anything is happening really, it's most likely last year...
Also last year MOA was only an online competition to win a trip for Computex, at least this year live event with cash prize is back, even if it is not worldwide.

MOA is the part of World Tour. Some World Tour stop for instance in Indonesia itp. might be GOOC in fact :)
