Customers like the quality, performance, noise and cables of the system power device. For example, they mention it's a very high quality power supply, runs smoothly and stable at full loads on an overclocked i5, and eliminates the buzzing noise coming from their GPU. They also appreciate the modular cable system, with plenty of connections for all of your components. That said, some complain that the cables are not as good as those that come with the unit.

You know there's a learning curve to the process of 'build-your-own-PC'. Many of us who do so are gamers, I think, and want top specs - cooling, CPU, and especially graphics card - without the need to spend too many hours fooling around under the hood. That's you, isn't it? Me too.
Now I bought a pre-assembled CyberPowerPC from an Amazon competitor - the chicken laid something new - after I discovered that it was going to be a couple hundred bucks cheaper than the machine I wanted to build, yet had most of the same components - cooler master case, Gigabyte motherboard, i7 4770K, and what at the time was a decent GPU, the GTX 650. That card has a pretty low current draw and at the time I figured I was mostly single-player and wanted a good gaming experience but not an edge in multiplayer shootouts.
But you know how that goes. Got hooked on Watch Dogs multiplayer, and let me tell you, that is not the right choice if you are running old iron. So I ordered up a GTX 980 overclocked and it wouldn't run. Kept quitting. Sent it back and the new one did the same. Asked a few buddies, and quickly learned that my power supply probably wasn't rated for the full 800W it said on the label. (Now it's hard for me to imagine my setup was drawing more than 300W at any time, mind you.) And it turned out that's where CPP had cut the corner - this flimsy-ass power supply couldn't handle a GTX 980 under load, no matter what the label said.
CPP had also done a hack job jamming wires all over the case, cramming them, using enough force to distort metal parts, and so I took the opportunity to take the whole thing down and install this new power supply. First of all, I can't say enough about how well labeled and laid out the cables and power jacks are. You are given all the cables you could possibly need - at least one for every jack, more than one for the jacks that might require variable types of connectors like HD power - and they install easy, in and out. They're all totally optional so if you don't need a cable you do not clutter up the inside of your case with it.
I also worry a bit about screwing things in. But this power supply can be mounted two ways and the dimensions fitted my case perfectly, no difficulty placing 4 screws in and cinching them tight. It was as if it'd been designed for my case - it was a better fit than the piece of junk I took out.
And looking through the vents, you can see: this supply is made with quality components, bright coils of thick copper wire wound evenly and precisely; wires of the right length, with bright undamaged insulation, well attached and with no excess length to slop around. It's put together right - made my old supply look like junk. Which it was.
I'm always a little nervous when I spend an hour inside a computer but when I got done, everything booted up perfectly, worked the first time, and in fact a HD that had died a year ago, but which was still in the computer, powered up as well and hasn't failed since, suggesting the power supply was also the source of THAT problem. And an intermittent USB-going-out glitch I had been having hasn't reared its ugly head either.
CyberPowerPC definitely shipped me a lemon, and they were real asses about it - after having to replace both hard drives and a fan, I imagine they were tired of hearing from me and they weren't interested in knowing their out-of-warranty powersupply was garbage. They probably already know. By contrast, everyone says that EVGA tech support is awesome and the easiest to deal with - but frankly, I think it's even better that I never had to contact them.
All that's OK, because my computer works like a dream now. And the next time I spec out my own computer, I'm going to build it myself around an EVGA Supernova power supply, case closed.

The packaging was topnotch, PSU and accessories were nicely fitted into the box with Styrofoam casing for the PSU itself. Excellent accessories, it came with two bags for storage; one for the PSU and the other for your cables. I mean what a great idea to include these with their product, and even though the cables had twist-ties as you would expect, they included velcro-ties if you wanted to use those instead. They also included a PSU-testing tool (attached picture below) which is good enough for me to do a quick check on the PSU if it's completely dead. Further diagnosis would require a multi-meter or an actual PSU-tester, but still better than a paperclip.
The color coding and labeling made installation a piece of cake. The PSU is slightly longer, but I had no problems installing it inside the Antec Three-hundred case that I have and placed on the bottom with the fan facing up (same model as Antec Three Hundred Two Gaming Case, Black ). Also, it has no problems with the motherboard I'm using which is an ASUS z97-E with i5-4690k Haswell (LGA 1150 socket). As for the noise, the fan is quiet without ECO mode. I've tried ECO mode for a few minutes, but because the temps have to exceed 40c, the fans basically turned off like it's suppose to. So far, it has only been for a week, but WILL UPDATE if performance changes.

One downside is that if you use unpainted screws the PSU will not turn on. I thought I had to RMA this power supply since it was DOA, however, taking it out of my case and using the Power Self-Tester included with it showed that it was functional. I replaced the unpainted screws from my old PSU and used the black-painted ones that came with the EVGA PSU and used those, and it worked.
Just make sure you use the screws provided with the PSU otherwise it may not function properly oddly enough.
The call into EVGA customer support was very pleasant. Had a wait time but it was worth it as the person I called spoke fluent English, so I'm assuming the call center is in the USA. Didn't have to deal with foreign accents and other shenanigans.
Also, can't complain with the 10-year warranty provided by EVGA for their XR and X series PSU's. Make certain to register it within 30 days though.
But after a wait of a two weeks, when I found that the fan is not working, and it is not supplying an adequate power to my System I applied for the return a few days back. Still the return process is stuck and having no tracking response from the Amazon. So that means, I will have to wait for a few more days like a 2 weeks to get compensated. And successively another two more weeks to get another.
The product hardware quality seemed to be fantastic, but it wasted nearly a month and I'm not able to work without an SMPS.
Using with a Core i7 2600k (waiting for Cannonlake), GTX 1070, 2x SSD, 3x HDD, NZXT Kraken X42, and ASUS Xonar Essence STX.
