I purchased this processor to upgrade my ASUS K55N DB81 laptop. Changing the processor was a time consuming job but was pretty simple with online instructions and a youtube video. Dont forget the thermal paste. The graphics and processing speed have improved a lot from A8-4500M. I was trying to decide between A10-5750M and A10-4600M, and it seems 4600M is suits me better based on economics and graphics. I also upgraded the memory to 16GB and the primary hard disk to Samsung EVO 850 SSD. The laptop runs great now!

It worked in my HP G6 laptop how ever even with artic silver 5 it runs hot. Before you say you did it wrong I have built many PCs and laptops not a noob.
Going from a dual core too a quad core in a laptop major upgrade the laptop runs faster but drains the battery really fast which is normal is it worth it for the money yes if you know what you are doing and also these CPUs are normal to run hot look it up just have a cooling pad on hand.

I own an Asus K55N and needed to upgrade from the A8 processor it shipped with. This A10 was the only option I had and it did the job rather nicely. Games and applications run better and it can even handle the Crysis series decently enough. Only downside was actually installing the chip, laptops can be quite troublesome to tear down with so many small parts. I'd recommend this chip for anyone wanting to upgrade from the A8's.

Unfortunately this processor doesn't work in my laptop, even after I research for a good time. The socket, motherboard and all the information are adequate for the change.
What happen? I changed the processor and the laptop are very fast, and after some time appeared on my screen many pixels "failling and dancing", with color red and rose, but I think that this is because the motherboard doesn't support the configuration of processor.
I'm sad, and if any want to make an upgrade, research very well before to buy.

I bought this chipset to upgrade from my crappier AMD A6 4600M dual core. Direct replacement on my HP laptop. 35 watt processor. The speed of my computer is noticeably faster but dont get your hopes up. I would say its an overall 30% increase in performance, but gaming graphics? forget it... I am not a "gamer" by any means, but most new games I have tried out must be set to low graphics just to get a smooth play. Medium (recommended) runs about 20-25 Frames per second. All in all? It was worth the $70 for what I really use it for, If you want a fast ass gaming computer just go get an I7 quad core.

Went from the A6 duel core to this bad boy and before I know it my old laptop is out performing my ACER A8 on every level. I used this chip in a pro book 6475b. Some people have complained about different power usage I find that impossible because they are the same wattage.. Well from the duel core to this quad core I really am not noticing much of a difference. On the old processor it ran maxed constantly and this one it runs at about 30%. There were no heat issues on the burn in test nor did i have issues getting my PC to upgrade.

I have a HP Pavilion G6 came with the A6-4400m Cpu dual core I paid about 260.00 dollars for it new and it also had 4 gigs of RAM. This upgrade to the A10-4600m quad core was well worth the money. I had another 4 gigs of DDR3 laying around and popped that in too. Even if I didn't have the extra RAM another $50.00 or $60.00 for RAM I would have paid for it. This chip has turned my O.K. Laptop into something I am actually pretty proud of, I did pay for the expedited shipping and that was worth it too. Good chip and would recommend to anyone if they have a similar set up and looking to upgrade. Just make sure you do your research and have thermal paste for the job.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great performance for a low cost

I used this processor in my HP ProBook 4545S and it has made all the difference in the world to the performance. Processes that would grind to a halt now fly along. I am using Lightroom CC and its performance is "to the book". I did a great deal of research before attempting to fit this processor. I had already fitted a processor in my desktop but getting to the processor in a laptop is "not for the faint hearted" as one website had it. However, there is a lot of help out there. I you are working on a HP go to their website and download the manual and there are step by step instructions. I did the job in 30 minutes without rushing and taking care every step of the way. And don't forget your paste for the heatsink. I always use Artic and it has never let me down. But this processor is a great improvement to my laptop and very low price.

5.0 out of 5 stars laptop cooling systems have never been that great so no surprise there
Reviewed in Canada on May 12, 2015
Works well so far, got to me ahead of the expected delivery date.

No problems with this cpu, just a bit of work to take the laptop apart that this was going into. Temperatures during stress test and idle were expected to be high but at 35C idle and 63C during heavy work loads... wait, who am I kidding... laptop cooling systems have never been that great so no surprise there.

Cant stress this enough but, make sure its going to fit properly, this is a fs1r2 socket type cpu and isn't going to fit in regular fs1 types.
