This little motherboard is a great bang-for-buck option. Has a quite a few good features, and I love the color scheme of this board.
I plugged a brand new i5 4690k into this board and I didn't have to update the BIOS, and it detected it and ran immediately. The UEFI BIOS gives you a lot of easy access to overclocking, and allows you to change a lot of complex options. Also, don't be scared when you are putting the brackets over the CPU to keep it in place. You are going to feel like you are breaking something, because you have to put a lot of pressure onto the chip to secure the bracket in place.
Overall build quality leaves a little bit to be desired, but what can you expect from a low-priced, mid range motherboard. The PCB is a little flimsy, and when plugging some connecters into it i was nervous about how much I was bending the board. Nevertheless, it seemed okay after getting it mounted into my case, and it looks damn nice as well.
The heat sink next to the PCI express board slot gets very warm. After a few hours, you'll barely be able to touch the thing. Make sure to have some good airflow over the entire board to ensure that it doesn't get extremely hot. The temperature doesn't seem to raise any problems, so it should be okay.
The I/O is pretty acceptable on this board. I would've liked to see the old mouse/keyboard ports replaced with a few more USB ports, because if you're still using those extremely old ports, you should probably buy a new mouse. Regardless, it could probably still be helpful to some people.
I am still waiting for my CPU cooler, so for now I am running on stock speeds. I will try to remember to update this review after I have a stable overclock running, and give some info on how the board performs.
This board also automatically detected my 1600MHz Kingston HyperX memory, and I didn't have to change the clock speed settings in the BIOS, which is really convenient.
All in all, I recommend this board for any mid range specced system, and you want to do some LIGHT overclocking, nothing crazy. It's an incredible deal for the price. Thumbs up to ASUS for this one.
Minor caveats would be that the motherboard doesn't seem to be entirely micro ATX formfactor, because I replace another micro ATX board with this one in the same case, and the screw holes for the case aren't all in the correct area for this new motherboard, even though they were for the old one. The case is just a generic mini tower, so it's not like I'm trying to re-use a proprietary Dell or HP case or something. It works, but there's just not as much support as I would like, and it was a minor issue when pressing on the motherboard to install the CPU, heatsink/fan, and RAM.
When i first turned on the system, it wouldn't boot. I immediately thought I had a DOA motherboard, but then I remembered to go back to the basics and make sure everything is seated properly and check all the wire connections. Turned out that I didn't have either RAM DIMMs pushed all the way in (probably because I was worried about the motherboard flex from the lack of screws). I felt like a noob, but was glad something so simple solved the problem. After that, everything booted up perfectly.
This is my second Asus motherboard, and so far i would highly recommend them. I have this micro ATX one now for my kids' computer, and for my full-height tower computer, I have a full ATX motherboard by Asus, which has been working perfectly for a year now.
I am using this PC for nearly half a year by now and no problems. I installed 2 hard drives (WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD10EZEX), from one I am running Windows 7 Pro, from another Linux Fedora 22. Linux is great, all drivers including ASUS drivers were already built in. For Windows I had to install them from enclosed disc. No problems with ASUS but beware of what Windows you buy. I got them from reputable source on ebay, plenty of excellent reviews, installed them and registered them using phone. No problems here but in two weeks I started getting message: This is not genuine Windows! Further research showed, the Windows was not intended for a new mother board PC.
I have this PC on my private home network using Netgear AC1750 WiFi router. Both Windows and Linux like the router.
Installed memory is four sticks of Kingston HyperX FURY 4GB Kit (4x4GB) 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM - Blue (HX318C10FK2/8), total of 16GB. My wireless device is TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter,2.4GHz 450Mbps/5Ghz 450Mbps.
DVD drive is Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive DRW-24B1ST . Power supply is Sentey Xplus Power Supply 725 Watt (XPP725-HS). Case is Antec Three Hundred Two Gaming Case. I really did not need such a big case but I had a discount and the case is excellent.
I have also installed PC Internal Mini Onboard Speaker by ENLIGHT to beep diagnostic warnings. Works just fine. Two external speakers are made by Logitech. Processor is Intel Core I3-4160 Processor 3.60 GHz, 2-Core LGA1150 Socket, Hyper-Threading (BX80646I34160). Good workhorse for what I need.
I would highly recommend this motherboard.

It is rock solid stable for years. It has a good amount of USB ports, 6 SATA ports, 2x PCI-e 16x slots, etc.
The motherboard is a B series Intel board so it doesn't support CPU multiplier overclocks, but otherwise it's got great power delivery to support any quad core 1150 CPU. It uses high quality Japanese capacitors for the CPU.
Because the B series are intended as "business" boards, it even has an antiquated PS/2 port for old keyboards and mice!
I have stopped using full-sized ATX motherboards years ago - I even ran this in my main machine with a GTX 980 and i5 4670 with 16GB of RAM. It ran like a dream!
