Following the spirit of the HWBOT Country Cup-series, on June 1st we're kicking off our first HWBOT Team Cup competition. Similar to the Country Cup, the Team Cup is all about group effort and joining forces. Only, this time, you'll be competing for the glory of your team!
The HWBOT Team Cup 2012 features 6 different sub-competitions, each focusing on different hardware and benchmarks and runs for a period of 3 months (June-July-August). More than enough time to gather the troops and aim for the highest spot! Good luck!
The Format
The Cup is, as previously mentioned, divided into 6 sub-competitions. For each sub-competition, you can gather points based on the team's final position in the sub-competition. In the end, the team with the most points wins the competition ... it's as simple as that! Similar to last year's Country Cup, there are three different sub-competition levels:
- Level 1: 13 stages, 3 months.
- Level 2: 7 stages, 1.5 months.
- Level 3: 5 stages, 1 month.
The point distribution is as follows:
- Stage points (all levels): 25-18-16-15-14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
Update:: due to the level of complexity, we have changed the format for the overall Team Cup ranking. The ranking of the 2012 competition is based on the points you gather in each sub-contest. For a level 1 competition, this means you can gather as much as 325pts if you are 1st in all stages of that competition. Those 325pts will all count for your Team Cup ranking.
