ROG OC Showdown | Z97

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today launched its ROG OC Showdown | Z97 competition for any overclocker using ASUS, ROG or TUF Z97 motherboards, in co-operation with HWBot.org. The competition will run for one month between 15th July to 15th August 2014, with the grand prize of a future ROG X99 motherboard, and $1,000 for any world record broken at the competition end. Benchmarks include Super Pi 32M, 3DMark Sky Diver and maximum CPU frequency attainable.

Seeking the best 2D, 3D and Max CPU scores, the competition will focus on three areas for benchmarking:

  • Maximum CPU frequency
  • SuperPi 32M
  • 3DMark Sky Diver


General Rules

  • Only use Asus motherboards.
  • Only use motherboards using Z97 chipset.
  • Use 1 processor(s).
  • Single GPU graphics card
  • Only use Asus graphics card
  • Please attach a picture of your overclocking rig.
  • Must use competition background (download) for SuperPI 32M and 3DMark Sky Diver
  • Must supply verification link for CPU Frequency and 3DMark Sky Diver
  • Not allowed: hardware sharing, engineering samples, Lucid Virtu MVP and hardware that is not commercially available at the beginning of the competition
  • Employee of MB/VGA manufacturers can’t participate
  • Please refer to the competition stage pages for more detailed information
