MSI launched P55 Xtreme Speed series mainboards for two months now, and countless worldwide top media gave MSI P55 the highest recommendation on performance, stability and quality. Therefore, on behalf of MSI, we invite all overclockers around the world to join the Xtreme Speeder P55 Online Competition and to challenge undiscovered extreme overclocking territory of MSI P55 and Intel Lynnfield CPU.

The Xtreme Speeder P55 online competition consists of one main competition, divided into three stages with each a subchallenge. This sounds extremely complicated in theory, but you'll see that it is in fact a very straight-forward competition.

Competition Period:

- Start: 15/11/2009 (15th of November 2009) 12:00:00 CEST

- End: 13/12/2009 (13th of December 2009) 12:00:00 CEST


Scoring methodology

For each stage, this is the scoring algorythm:

- 1st = 10 points

- 2nd = 8 points

- 3rd = 6 points

- 4th = 5 points

- 5th = 4 points

- 6th = 3 points

- 7th = 2 points

- 8th = 1 point

The points gathered in each stage will be added up and the one with the highest score wins the competition.

    To win any of the prizes, you have to end in the top 3 of the overall ranking. This means that you will have to work hard to have a decent result in all three stages.

    Prizes:

    1. First place receives USD $2000 (incl. TAX)!
    2. Second place receives USD $1500 (incl. TAX)!
    3. Third place receives USD $1000 (incl. TAX)!

    As a special reward for those who use a cheaper Core i5 750 (without HT), MSI also awards USD $1000 (incl. TAX)! for the best overall Core i5!

    Next to the Xtreme Speeder rankings, MSI chose to add a special subchallenge for those who win by breaking a world record during this competition. So, in order to win this prize, you have to win the stage and break the world record.
