Nice challenge, thanke you GeIL and HWBot.

Count me in

August 29, 2011 at 12:48:54 PM GMT

For the second test. CL6/4G DIMM, If i read it right you can only use one 4G DIMM, or can you use more then one 4G DIMM.

August 29, 2011 at 12:51:43 PM GMT

You can use any memory configuration as long as you're using 4GB dimms. So:

- 4GB x 1 = 4GB

- 4GB x 2 = 8GB

- 4GB x 3 = 12GB

- 4GB x 4 = 16GB

- ...

Thanks for this comp. Count me in.

Ps.hopefully an employee of the Geil PR Management answered my email ;-)

In that case, I'd suggest you change the wording to:

"Only 4GB DIMMs allowed"

Good idea, Miah!

August 31, 2011 at 12:33:27 PM GMT

count me in for highest 16gb and lowest 1155 mem but not the second stage

32m need good 2600k/2500k witch i never found :S

first stage need 1156 good/normal cpu not easy clocking high 16gb memories

second need good 2500k/2600k cpu or very strong 990/980X with strong IMC can handle high capacity rams @ high freq

third one never tried must be very funny stage

September 2, 2011 at 6:07:29 PM GMT

there's an error in round 3, points are wrongly accorded... crazy has got lower ram clocks then Hiwa, yet get's only 8 points...

You've been MasspOwned...

Aslo 32M score is not valid for Crazy, 2 x 2 Gb iso 4Gb dimms...

Insert more coin plz...

September 2, 2011 at 6:18:01 PM GMT

It's functional on the test server, but not on the public server. Checking ...

Please fix this!

September 4, 2011 at 6:23:08 PM GMT

September 4, 2011 at 6:43:50 PM GMT

Fixed !

Tnx!!!

September 9, 2011 at 7:53:03 AM GMT

wow the low bclk is really hard to get. only reach 97.5 so i should test a lot of more tweaks.

September 9, 2011 at 8:53:51 AM GMT

Think it's very board dependant Hampti, less cores helps too... but my marshall has similar issues as your current setup... though at 96.1

September 9, 2011 at 5:46:06 PM GMT

Are we allowed to use CAS Latency 5 for 2nd stage? Yeah, it says CAS 6, but if it is working with 5, then it will also work with 6 :D

September 9, 2011 at 5:59:53 PM GMT

you got freaking 4gb dimms that do Cas 5 at +/-1400mhz... wOOOOOOOOOOOOOt

September 9, 2011 at 6:04:13 PM GMT

16gb total at 1390MHz 5-7-6 :)

It just needs a little bit higher voltage, 1.78v for it

EDIT:

Here is the screen shot. Is it allowed?

No, CL must be 6.

September 15, 2011 at 9:04:02 AM GMT

wanna ask for the stage 3, if I used Geil ram for this stage and submitted, a valid points given.

Later, I submit another better results at the same 3rd stage but using G.skill ram.

Will I still be in the Lucky draw? whereas the earlier result being overtaken by new submission.

If not I submit again for the Geil ram used on 3rd stage...Thanks :)

September 15, 2011 at 9:10:47 AM GMT

That's no problem, Spyboy. We extract the GeIL competition results straight from the database, so even if it's not your best result in the competition, it wil still be included in the lucky draw list :).

Yeah! thank you Sir! Massman :)

September 28, 2011 at 5:06:44 PM GMT

i couldnt submit a score for the superpi32m part. always the same issue:

Total memory size should be 4096MB, 8192MB, 12288MB, 16384MB, 20480MB, 24576MB MB. - your submission is incomplete

I've tried it with 8192MB, 8GB, 8192 MB, 8192MB MB. and all under the memory amount ;-)

what could be the problem?

September 28, 2011 at 5:16:24 PM GMT

You tried "8192" ?

September 28, 2011 at 5:42:48 PM GMT

yes. in many different ways (as i posted above)

September 28, 2011 at 6:03:55 PM GMT

Same here could only up my final score via editing the previous submission...

September 29, 2011 at 6:40:43 AM GMT

Looking into it !!

September 30, 2011 at 7:07:12 AM GMT

Bug is solved.

September 30, 2011 at 7:12:21 AM GMT

unable to submit the stage 2, due to incomplete submission? and totally memory size must used 4096MB, 8192MB, 12288MB, 16384MB, 20480MB, 24576MB MB?

I did tried input 8Gb and 8192MB, still prompt me the same thing.

Something strange...did 5 times also prompt the same thing....

Did stage 1 and 3 ok.

September 30, 2011 at 7:25:08 AM GMT

Enter only 8192 not 8912MB or other variants...

we just crosschecked with massman and could submit a fake score...
