Having problems finding ECS FM1 boards ?

November 8, 2012 at 8:17:21 AM UTC

In the UK, new ECS availability = zero

November 8, 2012 at 8:23:17 AM UTC

Same here, not a single ECS hardware in shops.

November 8, 2012 at 8:26:13 AM UTC

Same here...

November 8, 2012 at 8:32:20 AM UTC

Newegg ?

November 8, 2012 at 9:12:11 AM UTC

Newegg has boards in stock.

Oh, right. For all EU folks that can't get their hands on a board: mail Tina at ECS Holland (ziyun.yang@ecsholland.nl). Make sure to include "HWBOT" in the topic title ... that way you'll get higher priority .

found one in italy, but is not a black series...

Mine is on its way, can't wait to see how it clocks :)

Question Here : Since for the 1st stage (3dmark06 on ECS FM1) doesn't need ORB Link for verification, does that mean I can run the benchmark with SystemInfo disabled (-nosysteminfo)?

I'm getting "SystemInfo Error" every time I run with systeminfo, even at default X_X.

Thanks,

November 19, 2012 at 3:49:55 AM UTC

Yes, allowed.

By the way, did you update to the latest Systeminfo?

November 19, 2012 at 9:31:44 AM UTC

Yes, allowed.

By the way, did you update to the latest Systeminfo?

Ok thanks ;)

I already updated to version 4.11 of the SystemInfo, it still gives an SystemInfo error

(but I only enconter this error on WindowsXP, on Win7 no problem)

November 19, 2012 at 9:58:15 AM UTC

Oh, okay. Well ... that error makes it "hard" to bench in XP then ... :P

November 22, 2012 at 4:47:25 PM UTC

I have the same issue on xp with the latest systeminfo 4.11, but everything work fine with the one 3dmark06 install by default.

Oh I am, pour some LN2 on it or something. I was only using it because my regular benching monitor only has VGA input and FM1 clocks like crap on VGA and pulling my main desktop monitor is a PITA.

Ahh well, more stuff for my graveyard. Good luck guys!

Weee that was fun This next months gonna be some serious fun :D

Congrats to all winners , really nice scores ! It was fun pushing the APUs wasn't it :P :p

Anyway, I'm quite surprised that the ECS FM1 (the A75F-A) turned out to be an 'okay' board. Aside from the missing memory subtiming setting , a non-working 1866-divider, and lack of OC profile save function in the BIOS , that board is not as bad as I expect it would be ;) ;)

See ya in the other APU competition guys :)

December 1, 2012 at 12:33:25 PM UTC

It was fun, great fun :) APU -> IGP is really interesting overclocking :)

Congrats to all winners :)

Congrats all, wish my ECS board made it to some cold testing but I found the same, it was actually a pretty good clocker.
