Just like any other year since 2009, HWBOT is organizing the World Cup of overclocking. Or at least, that is what many of our participants make of it. The fifth edition of the Country Cup will commence on November 1 and run all the way until the end of December. In this period of two months we are looking for the successor of last year's victors, Greece.

As the Country Cup tradition prescribes, the competition is spread across various stages. This year there are 8 stages, each with their own hardware restrictions and unique point algoritm. In each stage, the national overclocking teams must compete for the best average result. The average is based on a specific hardware item, and we pre-defined the amount of required scores to get the average. The participating countries are ranked first by the amount of scores that contribute to the average, and then by the score. This means that it is primarily important to have enough scores to complete the average score.

The Country Cup mission is still the same: find your peers, engage your countrymen, and cooperate for your country's honor and glory!

The set-up of the Country Cup 2013 is similar to the previous editions. An overclocker can only contribute once per stage. So for a stage that requires five scores to form an average, five different overclockers have to contribute. Every country will receive a minimum of one point per stage it is active in, even if the minimum required overclockers for the average is not met. The competition starts on November 1, 11:59AM GMT+0. Every stage ends at the same time of the day, 11:59AM GMT+0.
